These Terms form a binding contract between you and Hangzhou Weiyu Technology Co., Ltd. (the "Company", "we", "us"), the operator of Vicin — the mobile app, web app and this website (together, the "Service"). Creating an account, or simply using the Service, means you have read these Terms and agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Vicin.
The agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cancellation Agreement and Child Safety Policy, are the whole agreement between us. Where they conflict, the more specific document wins on the point it covers.
We may revise these Terms as the Service changes or the law requires. A material revision is announced in-app or by email at least 14 days before it applies. Continuing to use Vicin after that date is your acceptance; if you would rather not accept, close your account before the date.
Vicin is available only to people who are 18 or older and legally able to enter a contract. Registering, you confirm you meet both conditions.
What belongs to whom
The Service — its software, design, name, logo, illustrations, copy and matching logic — belongs to the Company or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trade mark and other law. Nothing here transfers ownership to you.
We grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Vicin on devices you control, for your own non-commercial use, for as long as you keep to these Terms.
You may not copy, modify, translate, reverse-engineer, decompile or derive source code from the Service; strip or alter any notice of ownership; scrape, crawl or bulk-collect data from it; resell or sublicense access; or use it to build a competing product.
Your account
- One person, one account. Accounts are personal and may not be shared, transferred or sold.
- Register with accurate details, including a real date of birth. Impersonating anyone is grounds for permanent closure.
- Completing the live selfie check is required before your profile can be shown to other people.
- Your password is yours to protect. You are responsible for what happens under your account; tell us immediately at backend@weiyukeji.shop if you suspect someone else has access.
- An account left dormant for an extended period may be deactivated after notice to the address on file.
What each side owes
What we do
- Operate and maintain the Service and work to keep it available.
- Review reports and moderate content and behaviour against these Terms.
- Handle your personal information as set out in the Privacy Policy.
- Give reasonable notice of material changes to the Service, these Terms, or subscription pricing.
What you do
- Keep your profile truthful and current.
- Treat other people with basic respect, on the platform and once you meet in person.
- Follow the law of wherever you happen to be using Vicin.
- Take ordinary precautions when meeting someone new — a public place, and a friend who knows the plan.
Rules of use
The following will get an account removed. This list is illustrative, not exhaustive.
- Being under 18, or helping anyone under 18 onto the Service.
- Posting photos of somebody else as if they were you, or any content you have no right to post.
- Nudity, sexually explicit material, or anything that sexualises a minor in any form.
- Harassment, threats, hate speech, or abuse aimed at a person or a group.
- Advertising, spam, referral schemes, crypto pitches, or any commercial solicitation.
- Prostitution, escorting, trafficking, or the sale of sexual services.
- Requesting money, gift cards, investments or account credentials from another user. Romance fraud is prosecuted.
- Selling, buying, transferring or farming accounts.
- Bots, scripts, automation, or any attempt to manipulate distance, ranking or the deck.
- Probing, load-testing, or interfering with our infrastructure or security.
- Publishing another person's private information without their consent.
Content you post
Your photos, prompts, voice notes and messages stay yours. By posting them you grant the Company a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for formatting and sizing) and display that content strictly for the purpose of operating and improving the Service. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already lawfully retained in backups or required by law.
You confirm that you own or are licensed to use everything you post, and that it infringes nobody's rights.
We may remove content that breaks these Terms without prior notice. If you believe content on Vicin infringes your copyright, write to backend@weiyukeji.shop identifying the work, the location of the content, and your contact details.
Vicin+ and payment
- The core of Vicin — swiping, matching, chat — is free.
- Vicin+ is an optional auto-renewing subscription that widens your radius, adds rewind, and reveals who liked you before you swipe.
- Every payment is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, not by the Company. Their terms govern the transaction and their records are authoritative.
- A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Cancel from your store account; see the Cancellation Agreement.
- Price changes are announced at least 30 days ahead. You may cancel before the new price applies.
- Refunds run through Apple's or Google's policy — we cannot refund a charge we never collected. Statutory consumer rights in your country apply on top and are honoured as the law requires.
Other companies
Vicin relies on third-party platforms and links to third-party sites. Sign-in providers, app stores, push gateways, mapping and analytics vendors operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or conduct — read their terms before you rely on them.
Suspension and closure
We may limit, suspend or permanently close an account, with or without notice depending on severity, where we reasonably believe you have broken these Terms, where the law or a competent authority requires it, or where an account presents a risk to other users or to the Service.
Except in cases involving child safety, fraud or an imminent risk of harm, you will be told why and offered a route to appeal by writing to backend@weiyukeji.shop.
You may close your account at any time from Settings → Account. Closing it does not entitle you to a refund of a subscription period already paid for, and it does not cancel the subscription itself — cancel that separately with Apple or Google.
Limits of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law permits, the Company disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that anyone you match with is who they present themselves to be, or that any interaction will lead anywhere.
To the fullest extent the law permits, the Company is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost data or lost opportunity, arising from your use of the Service or from any contact between you and another user, whether online or in person.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 100.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and without depriving you of the protection of mandatory consumer law where you live.
If something goes wrong, write to backend@weiyukeji.shop first — we will reply within 14 days and most matters end there. If negotiation fails, the dispute goes to the competent people's court with jurisdiction at the registered seat of Hangzhou Weiyu Technology Co., Ltd.
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing a provision on one occasion is not a waiver of it.
